Upbeat, toe-tapping pop tunes with a heaping helping of hilarity — that’s how I’d describe Make Your Own Someday, the debut album by The Jimmies. The five-man band (or four-man, one-woman I guess I should say) covers a wide range of musical styles on their gloriously goofy CD, from the Latin groove of “Spanimals” to the country rhythm of “Punxsutawny Phil” to the reggae beat of “Huptsha Huptsha.” The album is never boring as it bounces joyfully from musical genre to musical genre. And I haven’t even mentioned the lyrics yet — and they certainly warrant mentioning. Check out the rest of the review here.
